Poetics
The Poetics program’s primary goal is to understand the development of handmade goods in the global political economy. Poetics blends a variety of disciplines, from management to philosophy, in an attempt to shed light on the enigmatic creative economy.
Project Details
It is uncommon to discuss poetics in the context of a business environment, which is odd, given its prevalence. We believe that in the 21st century, producers of handmade goods will become part of a worldwide movement to keep our planet and its economy safe from over-exploitation and irresponsible production.
Our objective is to select projects from populations that focus on female, indigenous, and/or refugee populations as a priority, in the light of globalization and the rise of mechanized labor that often times renders their traditional, ancestral, or creative production vulnerable.
